Success in the city is measured not by territory, but by Victory Points. Each scenario has a specific number of Victory points that have to be gained, from one to five. The first thief to gain five wins the match. It does not matter whether these are obtained through slaughtering marks or elegant thievery: A win is a win.
Basics[edit | edit source]
There are three basic types of victory points to gain:
- Assassination Contracts are exactly what it says on the tin, carried out on the map.
- Blackmail, gathered in churches.
- Bribes, obtained through the upgrades menu.
This robust category includes all the Victory Points that are specific to the map being played. These require carrying out specific actions and usually provide twice the Victory Points basic thievery does. For more details, see the individual map articles.
